Koh Rong
The second biggest and the most popular island in Cambodia is reached by boat transfer from Sihanoukville.
Koh Rong previously known especially for its wild backpacker crowd, evolved into a diverse island destination that caters to any taste and budget.
Taking advantage of its size, it offers travellers a full range of options.

Koh Rong Samloem
Koh Rong Samloem is the little sister island of Koh Rong, reached with a 15 minutes boat transfer from Koh Rong or 45 minutes from Sihanoukville.
Koh Rong Samloem is much smaller and less developed then its bigger brother. On the main beach, Saracen Bay, a wide range of small 3* boutique Resorts and Hostels have been set up.
The long beach invites for extended walks to find this perfect spot for a well deserved, chilled coconut.
Decent restaurants offer a wide variety of seafood and other dishes. Basic but stylish bars invite for a drink at any time of the day.
It is this "Robinson Crusoe" feeling but with added comfort, that makes this island the perfect getaway.
Oh and if you want to have the real "Robinson Crusoe Thing", that is just a 30 minute walk through the jungle away. Sunset beach offers it all: Secluded, stunning beach, almost off the grid.

ATMs do not exist on the island. Credit cards are only accepted in big resorts and hotels. Bring enough cash with you.

Be always very carful when swimming in the ocean.

Full moon parties are celebrated often on Koh Rong or Koh Rong Samloem.
HEALTH
Beware of sand flies in some part of the island or beaches. Sticking to safe food and water habits is recommended.
INTERNET & MOBILE SERVICE
The WiFi infrastructure is improving on the islands. However, it is still considered unreliable. Different mobile service provider work in different islands or part of the island. Check before you depart.
